Groups meet every day of the week at various times and locations.

One of our values at Bethel is to build healthy relationships and we believe it is important for everyone to discover a place where they can connect and grow. We were never created to "do life" alone and Life Groups exist for individuals to build community, which is an important part of maintaining a healthy Christian walk. The Church was made to be God’s expression of family on the earth. Being connected to God’s family is a foundational key for us to sustain the revival that so many have moved to Redding to pursue. We believe Small Groups are one of the best places to foster significant relationships and growth with each other.

Joining a Life Groups is an invitation to take a step closer to each other. In doing so, we will experience a greater fullness of life that God promises and our city will see a greater expression of His kindness through how we love each other and do life together.

Life Groups are a catalyst for us to grow closer both to God and each other by being equipped to experience the truth of God’s Word in every area of our lives. We want to see God demonstrate His will in and through us so profoundly, and obviously, that it becomes the very thing that draws people into the kingdom.

Distinctives of a Life Group

Life Groups are geographically based home groups. Groups are typically 6-15 members and often start together around our current church-wide study series. Leaders open their home to create a welcoming space for connection, conversation, and encouragement, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and move freely as the group grows deeper in relationship with each other and God.  The format and atmosphere of each Life Group will be different depending on the leaders and the people in the group. Some groups meet around a time of worship, some share a meal together, others join each other for recreational opportunities outside of their group time, but all exist to help people connect with each other and with God. They are a safe place to be known, encouraged, celebrated, and challenged.

Start a Life Group!

Being a Life Group leader is a great privilege and responsibility as you help connect people with God and each other, by bringing care and encouragement to the Bethel family. You help to establish a safe place for people to be open, encouraged, celebrated, and challenged. As a Life Group leader you help to embody our mission to create a vibrant family of hope-filled believers who deeply experience the love and presence of God and partner with Jesus to express the joy and power of His kingdom in every area of life.

What does it take to make a church of over 10,000 people feel like family? You!

With the size and growth of our Bethel family, we need many people to begin to step into this calling to be a Life Group leader! We are looking for those of you who love to create connection and enjoy having people in your home to say "yes" with us to hosting one of these small groups.

Creating Connection Together

A Life Group Leader is someone who loves God and loves people. They will help to create and facilitate a space for connection, conversation, and encouragement, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and move freely. This hospitality looks like: Open your home and creating a welcoming space to host a small group of local Bethel attenders each week Facilitating connection and conversation to allow the people in your group to get to know each other Having a TV that you can stream (by internet) one of our video teaching series Leading the group in discussion questions (provided in the leader's guide) to personally engage with the teaching Facilitating a time where the small group can encourage, pray and prophesy for each other.

Take the first step to start a group by filling out the leader application and letting us know you are interested in starting a group.
